Home-Economics Department

        Home economics course is a very useful course for creating the self-employment. The students get the knowledge of the house management as well as the knowledge of the nutrient. This course provides an opportunity of the self –employment in the competitive world of getting jobs. The institute runs this course from the opening of the college. It has full-time faculty from the 1st December 2003 who has published various research papers in the state, national and international conferences. The faculty has organized various co-curriculum activities along with the curriculum activities for the all over development of the students,e.g. Study Forum, celebrated nutrients weak,” Best from West”, Workshops, and conferences on various subjects. The course is evaluated under three heads as Theory, Assignment and Practical. Thus, the course is useful for students to become self-skilful women.

Facilities:

1. The institute has a well-equipped lab.

2. It established Study Forum in each year and the students participated actively.

3. It organized Nutrients Weak programme,” Best from West”, Workshops, and conferences on various subjects.

4. It teaches the students how to create a newspaper bag for the protection of the environment.

5. It teaches many different types of self-employment skill under micron.

6. The department arranges visits to home industry, Vrudhashram, Exhibition-cum-cell, Well interior house.
