CODE OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

1 TEACHER AND THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Every teacher should seek to follow the golden rule in her/his practice and theory and should seek to inculcate the national ideals of education among the students. As per his /her profession, he/she should be calm, energetic, patient, excellent in his/her communication and amiable in disposition.


TEACHERS SHOULD:

  1. The teachers should adhere to a responsible pattern of conduct and demeanour expected of them by the community.

  2. They manage their private affairs in such a manner so that they would automatically receive the dignity of the profession.

  3. They should seek to make professional growth continuously through research and academic contributions.

  4. They should be experts in their respective subjects and express free and frank onion at seminars, conferences and workshops.

  5. They should be an active member of professional organizations.

  6. They should be continuously ready to devote their duties in the form of teaching, practical, tutorial, seminar, presentation, viva-voce, study tour, etc.

  7. They should co-operate and assist in carrying out the educational responsibilities of the institute and university. They should involve in the admission process, college and university examinations.

  8. They should be morally satisfied with their research works.


TEACHERS AND THE STUDENTS:

  1. He/She should give respect to the right and dignity of the students in expressing his/her onion.

  2. They should be impartial with the students without making any difference based on religion, caste, race, social background, economic and physical basics.

  3. They should cater the students by recognizing the capacity among for the students and striving to meet their needs.

  4. They should be the icon to the students while performing their duties and encourage the students to develop their personalities which will be beneficial for the nation and integrity of the nation.

  5. They should develop a scientific outlook among the students, respect for physical work, public property, belief in democracy, patriotism, and peace.

  6. They should make available to the students even beyond their class hours and guide them anywhere anytime without any expectation of remuneration or reward.

  7. They should teach them to develop an understanding of our Constitution, national heritage and national anthem.

TEACHERS AND COLLEAGUES:

  1. They should give respect, honour and dignity to other faculties in their college in the same manner as they wish to be treated means “Give Respect and Take Respect”.

  2. They should avoid the considerations of caste, religion, sect, creed, race and sex and create a unity and brotherhood atmosphere

  3. They should avoid allegations against colleagues to the Higher authorities.

TEACHERS AND AUTHORITIES:

  1. The teachers should discharge their professional responsibilities to contribute their duties to the department and the institute through participation in the academic and administrative committee.

  2. They should not undertake any other employment and commitment such as private tuitions and coaching classes that will violate the terms and conditions of their responsibilities.

  3. They should be binding to the rules and conditions of the institute, society and university.

  4. Co-operate in the formulation of the policies of the institution by accepting various responsibilities of corporate and management.

TEACHERS AND NON-TEACHING STAFF:

  1. The teachers should treat the non-teaching staff as colleagues and equal partners in the progress of the institute.

  2. They should give honour and respect to them.

THE TEACHERS AND GUARDIANS:

  1. The teachers should maintain contact with guardians through the students whenever necessary and exchange their ideas.

  2. They should convey the guardians when it is necessary to convey them for the betterment of the students.

TEACHERS AND SOCIETY:

  1. The teachers should recognize that the teaching profession and education is a public service and strive to keep to inform the education programme which is being provided.

  2. They should work to improve education in the community through co-curricular activities.

  3. They should be aware of the social problems and take part to solve the problems by performing, arranging various activities.

  4. They should not take an active part in such actions that tend to promote the feeling of hatred among different communities, races, religions, sexes and linguistics group.

  5. They take an active part in such activities that will create a reputation in their profession and National Integration.

The Code of Ethics to check Malpractices and Plagiarism in Research

Research and academic contribution are one of the pearls in the life of teachers that will help to decorate his whole personality when their research and academic contribution will face the fire taste of the code of ethics. The institute has provided some free software to check their plagiarism in research. The college is continuously striving to create and maintain awareness about it.

Objectives:
  1. To provide a framework for the development of research culture and to make unacceptable any content not owned by the author, without citations.

  2. To promote research quality in such way to avoid malpractices and plagiarism.

  3. To develop an academic ethos so that their research work will generate original thinking and novel ideas.

  4. To develop the system to detect plagiarism.

Avoid Plagiarism:

There are certain rules regarding avoiding the plagiarism in writing. Generally, plagiarism can be avoided by paraphrasing, citing, quoting and referring to the original work.

  1. The author should quote it exactly, enclose it in quotation marks, and cite the source of it.

  2. If the author did not invent anything, he must quote the source of it.
